Users are fully responsible for any communication sent through the BuildAlert platform.
This includes:
letter content
claims made about services
contact information provided
marketing messages or promotions
BuildAlert does not review, approve, or monitor the content of letters sent by users.
Users must ensure their communications are accurate, lawful, and not misleading.
Users must not use BuildAlert to:
send threatening, abusive, or offensive messages
repeatedly contact individuals in a manner that could reasonably be considered harassment
pressure or intimidate property owners
make false or misleading claims
impersonate other businesses or organisations
imply affiliation with local authorities or planning departments
send communications that violate advertising laws
conduct fraudulent or deceptive marketing practices
promote illegal services or activities
Users must not:
attempt to scrape, copy, or extract BuildAlert data in bulk
use automated scripts or bots on the platform
reverse engineer the platform
attempt to access restricted areas of the system
interfere with the operation or security of the service
Planning application information provided by BuildAlert is for the purpose of identifying potential business opportunities.
Users must not:
resell BuildAlert data
redistribute planning lead data to third parties
create competing services using BuildAlert data
Users must ensure their communications are relevant and appropriate.
Users must not:
send excessive or repeated letters to the same property
send communications unrelated to the planning application
engage in aggressive marketing practices
Property owners must be treated with respect and professionalism.
Users must ensure that their use of the platform complies with all applicable laws and regulations, including but not limited to:
UK GDPR
The Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations (PECR)
Consumer protection laws
Advertising regulations
Users are solely responsible for ensuring their marketing activities are lawful.
BuildAlert reserves the right to investigate suspected violations of this policy.
If we believe this policy has been breached, we may:
issue warnings
suspend or restrict accounts
terminate access to the platform
remove access to services
Serious or repeated violations may result in permanent account termination.
If a user's account is suspended or terminated due to a violation of this Acceptable Use Policy, any unused credits may be forfeited and will not be refunded.
